At least four people were killed and 10 others were injured in three separate road accidents, including two in the capital, yesterday.
In Natore, two people were killed and 10 injured in a collision between a bus and a truck on the Dhaka-Natore highway in Baraigram upazila in the early hours.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately and the injured were admitted to several hospitals, including Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, said Monir Hossain, sub-inspector of Jhalmolia Highway Police Station.
In Dhaka, a student of Martin Luther College, identified as 20-year-old Pulock Gomes, was killed and his friend was injured when a truck hit their motorcycle on Wapda Road under Hatirjheel Police Station around 3:30am.
His friend Nayan, 21, was receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
In Gazipur, a day labourer was killed after a bus run him over on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Sreepur upazila in the afternoon.
The deceased, Russell Mia, son of Renu Mia of Jahangirpur village in Nandail Upazila of Mymensingh, used to work at a scrap-metal shop as a day labourer.
