The United States has once again imposed trade US sanctions on a total of 28 companies from different countries. It has 11 Chinese and five Russian institutions.

According to media reports, the companies have been accused of making spare parts used to build drones for Russia in the Ukraine war. As a result, US suppliers will not be able to export technology to them.

According to Reuters, on Monday, the US Department of Commerce blacklisted a total of 28 companies, including companies from China, Russia, Finland, and Germany.
In a statement, Alan Estevez, head of the US Department of Commerce’s export control division, said, “We will not hesitate to take swift and meaningful action against those who supply and support Putin’s illegal and immoral war in Ukraine.”

According to US allegations, nine companies, including China’s Asia Pacific Links Ltd and Russia’s SMT-Ilogic, participated in a scheme to supply drone parts to Russia’s Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff (GRU).

The investigation found that Hong Kong-based exporter Asia Pacific Links Ltd. is the most important supplier of drones to Russia. The firm, along with import firm SMT Illogic, was the target of US sanctions last May. Source: Reuters
