At 8:40 in the morning, a team from the National Security Institution Chittagong Airport and the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation carried out a combined operation based on confidential information, according to an official who spoke to the media. A total of four kilograms and five hundred and fifty grams of gold were found hidden behind the seat of a Biman Bangladesh Airlines airplane (BG-152) that had been abandoned.
The value of the gold that was found is believed to be three crore 89 lakh seventy-one thousand 360 taka, as is common knowledge. As a result of customs officials seizing the total quantity of gold, the entire value of the gold will be considered income for the government.
