Yemen’s Houthi rebels blocked a commercial ship bound for Israel in the Red Sea. It is then sent back in the opposite direction. The Houthis took this action in protest against Israel’s barbaric aggression in the Palestinian Gaza Strip and in support of the Palestinians.

The ship was reportedly headed for the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories. This information was reported by Lebanon’s Arabic-language Al-Mayadeen television news network, citing a statement from Yemen’s Ministry of Defense.

The ship was first alerted, reports said. But it continued to move ahead, ignoring the warning. The ship was then stopped and sent back in the opposite direction.

Earlier on Saturday, Yemeni armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sari warned that if Gazans do not receive essential food and medicine, all ships sailing through Yemen’s territorial waters towards Israeli-occupied territory will become ‘legitimate targets’.

At this time, he also said, all the ships of the world will be able to continue their commercial activities through this route, except for the ships related to Israel or destined for the ports of the occupied territories. Source: PressTV
