Dr Md Sabur Khan, chairman of the Board of Trustees at Daffodil International University, has attended G20 series event “Uni20” in India, said a press release.
The event took place in Pune, Maharashtra on June 19 and 20.
Sabur Khan, also president of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific, represented Bangladesh and AUAP at the programme.
The event centered around the theme “The Transformative Role of Universities” and saw the participation of leaders from 46 nations who shared their experience and opinions, emphasising the need for cooperation to ensure the transformative impact of universities.
Other speakers were Harsh Vardhan Shringla, former Indian high commissioner to Bangladesh and current chief coordinator of the G20 Summit; Chandrakant Dada Patil, the minister for Higher and Technical Education of the Government of Maharashtra; and Dr SB Mujumdar, founder and chancellor of Symbiosis International University, the CEOs of University Associations of Australia, South Africa and India.
