In light of the country’s vulnerability to climate change, the President will make sure to emphasize France’s determination to stand by Bangladesh on its humanitarian front, particularly in the face of daily floods.
There is no doubt that Macron to visit Bangladesh, Bangladesh is also a great contributor to international solidarity actions, whether that is through its participation in peacekeeping missions or hosting Rohingya refugees.
Following the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Paris this summer and the visits to Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and Sri Lanka, the President of the French Republic will continue the concrete development of the French Indo-Pacific strategy in Macron to visit Bangladesh.
During the weekend of September 9 and 10, the President of the French Republic will travel to New Delhi to take part in the G20 Summit.

This G20 summit will also be an opportunity to follow up on the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact that was held in Paris in June last year.
In this meeting, it was possible for the Paris Agenda for People and the Planet to be established, which offers a framework for collective action to ensure that no country will have to choose between fighting poverty and protecting our planet.
Macron to visit Bangladesh, According to Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, the two countries will discuss ways to boost trade and investment between the two countries in addition to discussing issues such as climate change and regulated migration during the visit of President Emmanuel Macron.
In the coming days, the President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold bilateral talks.
I believe that women’s empowerment, enhancing trade and commerce, and regulating migration are all normal issues that need to be addressed. There is a lot of concern about climate change at the moment. As a result, the President of France has taken a leadership role,” Momen said, adding that Bangladesh will play a very active role in addressing the loss and damage issue and making efficient use of the relevant funds of its government.
In November 2021, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the French Republic at the invitation of the President of the French Republic.
In addition to holding bilateral talks with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the French President will also pay homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by visiting the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in the city’s Dhanmondi district
Both leaders are scheduled to attend the G20 Summit on the 9th and 10th of September in New Delhi.
A joint statement by France and Bangladesh congratulated each other on the growth of their friendship and emphasised their shared commitment to deepen all aspects of their partnership through regular political consultations to provide them with strategic guidance.
There was a reaffirmation by both countries of their determination to enhance cooperation in all areas, such as politics and diplomacy, defence and security, trade and investment, sustainable development and climate change, as well as education and cultural exchanges.
As part of their cooperation, both countries have also recognized the importance of sustained and substantive cooperation in relevant regional and multilateral forums.
As a result of their partnership, Macron to visit Bangladesh and France have expressed their intention to further develop the partnership in the field of defence and security.
It was agreed at the end of this visit that both countries would strengthen their dialogue and continue to cooperate in a number of areas, including training, which was launched during this visit.
In addition, they agreed to increase cooperation in the area of defence equipment based on the needs expressed and the ability of each party to meet those needs, including through capacity building and potential technology transfer, as they believed was necessary. Both parties welcomed the signing of a letter of intent regarding defence cooperation in this context.
There was a shared vision between France and Macron to visit Bangladesh for a peaceful, harmonious, secure, and inclusive Indo-Pacific region based on international law and with mutual prosperity for the people of the area.
