TIB has highlighted these facts by analyzing the affidavits of the candidates given to the EC in the ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth elections. Touhidul Islam, head of the three-member research team of the organization, presented the documentary at the press conference. The other two are Rifat Rahman and Rafiqul Islam.
Tauhidul Islam said that among the 1,896 people who participated in this year’s election, 18 percent were independent candidates, and 82 percent were party candidates. 18 of them have assets worth more than 100 crore rupees.
