Hundreds of residences, shops and warehouses were gutted by fire in Bayezid Amin Colony in the port city of Chittagong. The fire incident happened on Wednesday (October 4) early morning. On receiving the information, 8 units of fire service brought the fire under control in 2 hours.

Locals said that before waking up, the fire started from the north side of the Bayezid Amin Colony. Because of the wind, the fire spread in an instant. According to them, due to windy warehouses, the fire increased. Later, when the fire service was informed, they came and brought the fire under control.

Assistant Director of Agrabad Fire Service Abdul Halim confirmed this information. The cause of the fire was not immediately known. It will be known after investigation.
