A Bangladeshi expatriate living in Saudi Arabia has become a millionaire overnight after winning the UAE-based Mahjooz lottery. His Mohammad Shaheen.
This week, he won 1 million UAE dirhams in the lottery, which is about 3 crore in Bangladeshi currency. Shaheen is currently living in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
According to Khaleej Times, 31-year-old hardworking Shaheen is working as a supervisor in a private company in Saudi Arabia. About a year ago, he learned about the lottery through Facebook. Since then, he has been participating in the Mahjooz draw.
He was alone when the authorities sent him an email as the weekly winner of the Mazjuz lottery. The email also contained his raffle draw ID number.
After receiving the lottery-winning email, Shaheen could not believe it at first. He immediately logged into his Mahjooz account to verify the surprising news. There he found a huge amount of 1 million Emirati dirhams (more than 2 crore, 98 lakh, and 95 thousand rupees).
Bursting with joy, the Bangladeshi expatriate told Khaleej Times, ‘I was shocked and speechless when I realized that I had won the lottery. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the huge sum of money in my Mahjuz account. This is the first time I have seen so many zeros in my account. Winning such a huge sum of money makes me incredibly grateful.’
