Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal said that the current commission is under pressure due to the controversy over the 2014 and 2018 elections. That is why the Election Commission has taken the challenge of making the upcoming elections peaceful, free and transparent.

Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal said this at the inauguration of the training program for upazila executive officers ahead of the national elections in Agargaon in the capital on Sunday morning.

He said that the upcoming elections will be peaceful, transparent and fair. There is a crisis of confidence in elections. However, work is being done to eliminate this crisis. All the time there are allegations of throwing out polling agents in the Election, this issue will be strictly monitored by the Election Commission. All duties will be strictly observed. Later, the Chief Election Commissioner ordered the field administration officials to perform their duties strictly.

Meanwhile, in view of the 12th national election, the Election Commission has started the training program for the upazila executive officers from today. This activity is going on in Agargaon of the capital. This training is being given to 100 upazila administration officials in the first batch today under the supervision of Election Training Institute-ETI. This program will continue till November 2. This training will be given to one thousand and 14 officers in phases.

The Chief Election Commissioner wants to announce the schedule in November and hold the election in the first week of January. On this occasion, the commission will meet again with former election officials and civil society representatives on October 4.
