30 workers trapped underground after collapsing mine in Zambia.A mine collapse has occurred in the southern African country of Zambia. More than 30 workers are trapped underground.

The accident took place in a copper mine in Chingola on Friday. There are numerous legal and illegal mines in the region. Where workers work at risk.Zambian Home Affairs Minister Jack Muyumbu told parliament about the mine collapse. 

He said, “I am telling the nation that we have faced a tragedy in Chingola. More than 30 workers are trapped under the rubble.”However, he did not give any details about the mine collapse.

Zambia’s Ministry of Mines had no immediate comment on the accident.Chingola region is located 400 kilometers north of Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.
